Madabhushi Madan Gopal, a former bureaucrat from Indian Administrative Service (IAS), is a multifaceted personality, travelled widely all over the world and is known for his passion for mountaineering, especially in Himalayas, landscape photography and listening to vintage music. He is a voracious reader. His first book titled Kangchenjunga Diary was based more on inner spiritual journey and quest for deeper meaning of human existence. His style of writing was acclaimed and appreciated by many. In the present book Rainbow Years, he weaves the sensitive and the unusual experiences of three unique individuals and their transitional journey of life through various phases into an interesting yet thought provoking narration. He spends most of his time at Sri Ramana Maharshi Ashramam, Tiruvannamalai and resides at Bangalore with his family.
