Dr. Bhagawandas P. Lathi

About the Author

A bestselling author of electrical engineering books, Dr. Bhagawandas P. Lathi now writes on spirituality and philosophy. A professor emeritus with a PhD in electrical engineering from Stanford University, Dr. Lathi has authored nine books, three published by Oxford University Press and one by Cambridge University Press. Dr. Lathi was born in India and has lived in the U.S.A. for many years now. He has taught graduate and undergraduate students in engineering at various universities in the U.S.A. and Brazil for several decades. Because of a certain quirk of fate, he came to realize the importance of books that are self-explanatory, so that a student reading the book can understand the subject on his own without the help of an instructor. To accomplish this, the book must go to the roots, to the very foundations of the subject. Dr. Lathi's passion led him to write nine such books in the course of his academic career. Five of them have been very successful and are best sellers in the fields they cover.
